1. Who we are

Project Kamp is an open-source non-profit researching and sharing ways of living more sustainably. It is operated by Project Kamp Associação, a non-profit association registered in Portugal.

\n \n

2. What this is: a donation

Your donation goes directly towards developing free, open-source knowledge that helps people live more sustainably.

As a member, you become part of how we decide what to build next: we share updates on our work, publish impact reports on how funds are used, and invite the community to weigh in on priorities. These are things we do because we believe in transparency and community, not obligations we owe in exchange for your donation.

We may change how we communicate with our community at any time.

\n \n

3. Your donation

Donations are processed in EUR, USD, or GBP, at the amount and frequency (monthly or yearly) you select at checkout.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Your donation recurs automatically at the selected frequency until you cancel.
No minimum commitment period applies.
We do not accept donations or payments from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

\n \n

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time, with no notice period required, through your Stripe billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No further payments will be taken after that date.

If you need help cancelling, contact us at hello@projectkamp.com.

\n \n

5. Refunds

Because your payment is a donation, we do not offer refunds as a general rule.

If you believe a payment was taken in error, please contact us at hello@projectkamp.com within 14 days and we will review it.

\n \n

6. Tax deductibility

We do not promise that your donation is tax-deductible. Whether it is depends on the tax rules where you live.

We recommend checking with your tax advisor or local tax authority. We cannot advise on tax matters.

\n \n

7. Your personal data

Project Kamp Associação is responsible for your donation data. We collect your name, email, and the amount and frequency of your donation, only what we need to process and acknowledge it. We use this to carry out your donation and to meet our legal and tax obligations as a Portuguese association.

Your payment is handled directly by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe: we never see or store them (Stripe Privacy Policy).

The community platform is run by Stichting One Army. To make your membership work across the platform and your account, we share your donation data with them, and together we decide how that shared data is used. One Army handles the platform side under its own Privacy Policy.

As a Portuguese association, we're legally required to keep donation records for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes, so we'll keep these even after you cancel. Beyond that, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@projectkamp.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can contact the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD).

\n \n

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active donors by email before the changes take effect. If you do not cancel before the changes take effect, you will be considered to have accepted the updated terms.

\n \n

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Portugal. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
